Ken’s Kids
Bring the kids to center stage – and give them voice
The mission of the Campanile Center for the Arts is to develop, promote and support the arts through education, performance, and exhibition. In support of this mission, the Campanile has developed an educational initiative entitled Ken’s Kids at the Campanile. This program is the only arts education program of its type that we know of in the Lakeland area. It offers programming targeted specifically to middle-school age students. This program was founded in 2018 and have been overwhelmed by the need as demonstrated by the sold-out (450 attendees) at the daytime performance for these middle school students. Six different school districts are welcome as well as area home schooled students.

BUCKETS N BOARDS' SHOW STRIVES TO INSTILL IN THE AUDIENCE AN UNDERSTANDING THAT RHYTHM CAN BE EXPRESSED IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS, AND THAT IMPROVISATIONAL EXPERIMENTATION IS A UNIVERSAL ACCESS POINT FOR ANYONE TO LEARN TO CREATE
RHYTHM AND MUSIC ON THEIR OWN.
