Ken’s Kids
Bring the kids to center stage – and give them voice
The mission of the Campanile Center for the Arts is to develop, promote and support the arts through education, performance, and exhibition. In support of this mission, the Campanile has developed an educational initiative entitled Ken’s Kids at the Campanile. This program is the only arts education program of its type that we know of in the Lakeland area. It offers programming targeted specifically to middle-school age students. This program was founded in 2018 and have been overwhelmed by the need as demonstrated by the sold-out (450 attendees) at the daytime performance for these middle school students. Six different school districts are welcome as well as area home schooled students.
Mr. C at the Campanile - October 24, 2024
“Mister C Live! Vol. 1 – Air is Everywhere”
450 area middle school students were more than ready for some hair-raising science, toe-tapping music and mind-blowing media. Mister C gave us an amazing day of learning in the lab as he explored all things air!
As the creator and host of the regional Emmy nominated show Full STEAM Ahead, Mister C is no stranger to finding exciting and engaging ways to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) in our everyday lives.
Mister C is a 20 year educator whose mission is to transform how everyone thinks about learning. He got everyone singing, dancing and learning to the tune of science. Students and teachers were amazed with this fun and educational series as Mister C used humor, media and the engineering design process making the ordinary EXTRAordinary!
