Creative Writing
This will be an introductory creative writing course, open to those interested in personal essays, short stories or poetry. Participants will share and discuss their work within a small, interactive group. The emphasis will be writing as a discovery --- a way for us as writers to explore our life experiences and how they affect us. It will be strongly interactive: participants will learn from each other, sharing their own writing and responding actively to others' work. Some may want to try short essays and stories, while others may want to work on longer pieces. The instructor will also offer in-depth comments and responses. The course is taught by David Foster, a retired writing instructor who has taught in a variety of universities in the US and Germany.
