Recently Campanile kicked off a membership drive to allow all of our supporters to take ownership in the Center.  This will help to preserve and perpetuate the Arts in our communities and pave the way for future generations to continue to enjoy and experience the Arts.

Think of four E's when it comes to Campanile and the reason to join: Education, Entertainment, Exhibition, Economic Impact.  In our Conservatory we provide the education in the Arts for young and .... mature alike.  From visual art to all aspects of music and a plethora of other topics, we provide the opportunity for anybody to express themselves.

Entertainment:  In case you haven't noticed, the Campanile auditorium has played host to many world class entertainers.  It is our goal to bring quality and diversity to attendees that typically doesn't happen in communities our size.

Exhibition:  Our transformation, through your generosity, of the benches in our auditorium to removable chairs has given us the ability to make room for exhibitions of the visual arts.  The first exhibit will take place in July with the "Drawing Water" collaboration between a group of artists and the DNR.

Economic Impact:  This is short term and long term.  Our Performances bring people into our area to dine, shop, gas up and also, in some cases, even lodging.  Long term, this makes our area more attractive to the potential visitor to spend their time here as opposed to other areas.  Think what a family of four would normally spend in a community through the course of a week long vacation.  Then, multiply this by sevenfold --- according to "Money" magazine, which happens when a dollar is spent in an area.

Look over the different levels of membership and we hope you will understand the importance of the Arts and join our cause.

    We have established four levels of membership with benefits associated with each:

Level 1: $100/year will provide you with two complimentary tickets to any concert(s) during the year.

Level 2: $250/year will provide you with four complimentary tickets to any concert(s) during the year, and admission to the annual ball.

Level 3: $500/year will provide you with six complimentary tickets to any concert(s) during the year, admission to the annual ball, two complimentary Conservatory lessons and recognition on the Donor Wall.

Level 4: $1,000/year will provide you with a Golden Ticket, good for reserved admission for two to every performance during the year, admission to the annual ball, four complimentary Conservatory lessons and recognition on the Donor Wall.

Generations of northwoods residents and visitors dreamed of a comprehensive art center to serve as the heart of the arts community in the north. We are excited to tell you that this long-held dream is today becoming reality.
The Campanile Center for the Arts now occupies the building that served St. Patrick's Church in Minocqua for forty-four years.  What was once the sanctuary has been transformed into a performing arts auditorium.  As we continue to renovate the interior of the building, we will be able to hosts receptions, exhibitions and other art and community related events.  The Campanile Conservatory now resides in the former rectory and offers all disciplines of art instruction from dimensional, all aspects of music, creative writing and theatre.   Planners received a ringing endorsement from the Wisconsin Arts Board, "This facility, located on a large lakeside lot in the center of Minocqua, lends itself superbly to this application."

Campanile ~ comes from the Italian word for freestanding bell tower.

As we renovate the building, the old bell tower will remain to honor the history of the site and to symbolize the role of the Center as a bell to draw the arts and art seekers to the northwoods.

As many of you have noticed, we have a lot going on here at Campanile. If you haven't made one of our performances featuring the world class entertainment that has graced our stage, you just don't know what you're missing! However, we need a little assistance in getting the word out to the rest of the folks. We have posters made to help publicize and inform the public about our upcoming events and we have a couple of outstanding and dedicated volunteers who distribute the posters in the immediate area. The problem we are having is getting the information to Manitowish Waters, Lac du Flambeau, Winchester, Presque Isle, Boulder Junction, Rhinelander and Eagle River. If you happen to work in one of these places and live here, or vice versa, or if you get there on a regular basis and would like to help to drop off the posters in appropriate locations in these towns, we would be most grateful.
