Thanks for Participating in 2018's Performance of "Jack & the Beanstalk!"

  This year's production "Jack and the Beanstalk" will cover the genre of Musical Theater.  This classic tale is set in the Appalachian mountains, has great roles for boys and girls, and you do not need to be a "singer" to participate. Students will learn the basics of theater and perform it for the public. They will benefit from three weeks of theatrical games, instruction in proper voice projections, singing, stage presence, body exercises, and improvisation.

About the Show

Our young thespians get together and audition, rehearse, and perform in just THREE WEEKs during their summer break, and YOU get to enjoy their efforts! Jack and the Beanstalk is an original adaptation of the classic children's story. What happens when a young boy plants Wonder Beans in his own backyard? For Jack, it is the beginning of a great adventure. With a little help from P.T. Wonder and a Giant, Jack learns a valuable lesson about true happiness. Students 5th-8th come join the cast!
Recommended for all ages.

SOME IMPORTANT QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

 

  • DOES MY CHILD NEED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE? No! Just passion, enthusiasm and a desire to experience the world of music theatre.
  • WHAT WILL MY CAMPER LEARN?  Instruction will be given in dance, singing and acting while learning and rehearsing for the live stage performance that will take place at the end of each camp for family and friends to enjoy.
  • WHERE WILL THE CAMP TAKE PLACE? At the Campanile Center for the Arts. Located at 131 W. Milwaukee, Minocqua.
  • WHAT SHOULD MY CAMPER WEAR? Comfortable clothes that allow for movement and dance; Soft-soled, closed toe shoes are required at all times in camp. Although dance shoes are not necessary, they are preferred if your camper already owns a pair.
    • In addition, for our Summer Camps, we will provide an official T-Shirt for your camper to wear in class.
  • DOES THE CAMP INCLUDE LUNCH? No. Please provide a daily lunch, water and any snacks for your camper.
  • IS THERE BEFORE OR AFTER CAMP DAYCARE? No.

Cancellation Policy

Payment for camps is due at the time of registration. The payment is refundable minus a $50.00 handling fee up to 7 days prior to the start date of the program. There are no refunds within 7 days of the start date program.
