Art Classes (8 week sessions)


Studio artist, muralist and book illustrator Peggy Grinvalsky offers a relaxed way to learn to draw everything you see, develop a lively sense of color and experiment with bold vitality. Work in color pencil, watercolor mixed media and acrylic paint in an on-going drawing & painting class or learn the basics of book illustration/graphic design and then develop your own dynamic style. All materials & tools provided. Come in comfortable old clothes, bring your favorite comfort food. Six students are needed for a class to be held. Register by following the link below.

CHILDREN’S ART CLASSES Start your child’s artistic life with loose and lively mixed-media art explora-tion that focuses on developing a joy in creating, an intuitive understanding of color, sharp observation and fearless experimentation.

Digital Photography Workshops Winter Session

Preregistration is required. Registration fee is $160.00 per person for the 4 Workshops or $45/per class. All cameras welcome. Maximum class size is 10 students. Workshop 1: Introduction to Digital Photography

What composes a camera "system", batteries, memory card types and accessories

What you should carry in your camera bag

The basic elements of photography and light

Referencing the camera's menu

Workshop 2: The Exposure Triangle

Learning the various program modes and their effects

Aperture, shutter speed and ISO

Exploring the three basic elements of exposure and how to utilize these to achieve properly exposed photographs

Circle in the Center  (Visiting Artist One-Day Workshops)


Campanile Center for the Arts hosts a series of visiting artist workshops called Circle in the Center. Held the second Saturday of each month, these workshops are held on the stage in the Campanile auditorium underneath the large circular skylight. Participants learn a new technique or skill from a different local artist. All materials & tools provided. Some classes fill quickly, so please register early.
